Things aren’t always the way they seems to be!

Standard

I’ve been trying to write last Easter Sunday but I was so tired and just feel asleep. It was such a powerful Sunday for me as I received a powerful preaching from Kuya Carlo. The topic of course, is resurrection. I always tell this, I love this man and how he preached! I wish that everyone will have an opportunity to listen to this guy- full of wisdom and anointing and I promise you, you will love going to the church!:)

Things aren’t always the way they seems to be!

I thought it will just be another resurrection preaching during Easter but by this guy and the move by the holy spirit open up a new door of knowledge and understanding for me. The story of resurrection was a story of a lost hope and the hope that came back. It’s like the story of Ms. Universe Pia Wurtzback. You know that she’s so close of getting the crown? It’s probably the feeling of the disciples a day before Jesus crossifiction. Like, we are with God and soon he will be crown and sit on David throne and we are the closest to Him. But just like what Pia experience when it was Ms. Columbia that was announced as winner, all their hopes shattered right before their eyes when they see their Master, beaten, crossified and died on the cross! Isn’t it painful, when you lost something or someone? Or when you want something and you didn’t get it? If you want someone and you lost them? Just when you only needed 0.1 point and you didn’t get it and fail the exam? It’s too close yet you lost it?

The biggest mistake of Satan was killing Jesus!

Before I understand it this way: Of course, it’s a biggest mistake! Why will he kill God? He is God! It’s really a Big mistake to kill God! But I understand it better now. Paul says that the wages of sin is death. We… people, sin. So, we deserve to die! When we sin, the death automatically has a hold against us. But not because Jesus died, he sinned! Jesus didn’t sin so satan has no right to kill Him. But we have a loving God and he is willing to pay the prize for us so we will have eternal life! He cancelled the written code…he took it away, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the powers and authorities (satan), he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Col.2:14-15)

The prophecies:
I was just amazed how this truth was there way back in Genesis but I missed it until last Sunday. When Adam and Eve sinned, they became ashamed and tried to cover their bodies with leaves. Shame is the first reaction of people when they sinned. That is why it’s not natural for people to sin. It’s not in our nature because if it is,  we shouldn’t fell discomfort. We shouldn’t fell guilty. Even a little child know when he did something wrong. He fell it. The Lord created us in his image and likeness and sin is not part of it. Leaves are not enough so the Lord gave them animal skin. And it was never mention that he created animal skin. Animals yes, animal skin, No! What does it mean? In order for mankind to cover up their shamed, an animal has to die way back in Genesis 3. (wow! this blow me away!)

Way back also in Genesis, Jesus was already prophesied. We often see an image of Virgin Mary having a snake at her foot specially in Catholic church. What does it mean? Why there’s a snake? In my 26 years of existence, I only knew the meaning of it last Sunday. Genesis 3:15 the Lord said to the serpent (Satan),” And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel”. So Satan, had tried everything just to stop the birth of this son that will crush his head but he failed miserably.

The Mustered seed.

Jesus said, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustered seed. Unless you put it to the ground it is nothing…Here he also prophesied about what’s going to happen to him. Even if it’s the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows It is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in it’s branches.
Things aren’t always the way they seems to be!

After three days, He rose again. Oh death, where is your sting? To our resurrected King! The Lord shows us that yes, people can be dead, physically living but spiritually dead, no direction, no dreams, no hope, we can be in so much sorrow and pain or we can no longer feel any pain at all! But Things aren’t always the way it seems to be.  I’m alive and in me, there is life! I am the way, the truth and the life, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. No one comes to the father except through me.

As the song goes like this.. We are the reason that he suffered and died, to the world that is lost, he gave all he could give, to show us the reason to live..

When Thomas heard that Jesus was alive, it would have been better if he said, Really??? Where is he!!? But nope, that was not how it turns out to be! He said, “unless I see the nail mark and put my fingers where the nails were, I will not believe. Jesus let him see the nail marks and put his hand on his side, so he believe.

Then Jesus said, “Because you have seen me, you believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believe“. John 20:29

The world tell us,”To see is to believe”.

The Lord tell us, “Believe until you see it”.

Things are not always the way they seems to be…
