Happy Easter! I wish that you will have a holy holy week!

Lot’s of my office mates take the holiday but since I will be out in April, I stayed to back them up. I’ll surely get even on April!hehe!

My father went home as well! I talked to my mom and she said the vegetables are all ready to sell. My parents are farmers. Though I wanted my father to stop selling veggies, they just can’t stop. They will fell weak if they don’t do anything and just sit all day! Familiar? Yes, our spiritual life’s also like that. We’ll go weak if we just sit all day doing nothing!

This holy week, I kept on reading the Isaiah 53. I was just amaze on this verse! It’s about the suffering and glory of the servant and the sermon since two weeks ago also involve on this verse. Isn’t it amazing that the book of Isaiah was written 700 years before Jesus? Yet, when you read it, It was so detailed as if Isaiah was there during the crossifiction!

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our inequities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed”.

I was doing my devotional today and God bring me to the book of Ezekiel. Chapter 18:4 says, “The soul who sins is the one who will die.” Paul also says that the wages of sin is death! But behold, The Lord has come so that whoever BELIEVE in Him will not perish and have an eternal life! Believing is not a passive word here! It’s an action word for Faith without deed is dead!  Let’s go back to Ezekiel verse 30, “Repent! Turn away from all your offenses, then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit. For I take no pleasure on the death of anyone. Repent and live!”

As I know the Lord more and more each day, I just can’t help but be in awe of how he love the mankind! He take no pleasure in death of anyone so he died…so we can live! We grew up accustom in celebrating the different heroes because of what they had done. We have Rizal day, Bonifacio day, etc. We are even fascinated with animated heroes like superman, batman and all the man. But still nothing can beats what the Lord did! He offer his life not only to those who didn’t know him, but also to those people who betray him and worship other Gods.

My always prayer to the Lord is that I will have a heart similar to his. A heart that Love and heal all wounds!
