Today is a special day isn’t it? Maybe some are just like me who still celebrate this day alone but it’s okay. We’ll get there! 😀 Opps sorry, I’m not alone on that day, I have training so probably I’ll be celebrating it with work mates instead! 😛 Anyway, still treat yourself and wish your self a happy heart day.
I’ve been watching a video in company’s website and there was this testimonial video about a girl who was left behind by her boyfriend on her wedding not just once, but thrice. Like, wow! How did she let that happened? Or why they did that to her? She kept on asking why, she has a career, a beauty, she’s a good friend, a God fearing daughter, a faithful girlfriend yet, it happened to her, and her mom’s response was, “Look at Jesus! He was a very very good man, yet he was nailed on the cross. That time, she realized, it’s not a punishment for her. It was a process that she has to go through to fix things in her life.
She grew up, having a deadline in every aspect of her life. She has a deadline of her graduating in school, getting a job at a certain age, getting marriage at a certain age and so on and she will try to get it, in every possible way even if it means of getting into relationship in a wrong time, in a wrong person. In short, she’s been so harsh with her self. So, she knows there’s something wrong in her and she decided to go on counseling. And one of the things she has to go through is to go on date alone. Eating in a fine dining restaurant alone, watching movie alone, everything alone. To make it short, she dated herself. The lesson she got from that experience was, she has to love herself first so that she could give love to others. More than anyone else, she deserved to be loved by herself.
We can’t give something that we don’t have. We can’t expect other people to love us they way we want to be love if we can’t do it to our self. So it’s ok, if your destiny didn’t come yet. Let’s just love ourselves in the meantime, strengthen our characters so that when they come, we have enough room to accommodate them in our life! When you feel lonely, just remember God’s love that he sent his only son so that we could be with him in his kingdom. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 say’s there is a time for everything! So it’s okay to wait and be waited. I remember someone says, if you know you’re ugly then you should get married in a soonest possible time. However, if you know you’re beautiful and priceless, you don’t have to worry! Take your time. The right person can wait for you!
Happy Valentines Day!
